Hello BluFrenchibles Family!
We have some exciting and unexpected news to share with you – on March 31st at 1 PM, our beloved Lexi gave birth to a litter of 8 healthy puppies! This is a big surprise, as our previous X-ray had led us to believe there would be 5 or 6 puppies in this litter. Lexi was once again paired with our platinum lilac stud, Astro, and together they’ve created a beautiful and healthy litter.
As this is Lexi’s final litter, she has now been spayed and will retire from breeding. She has been an incredible mom who has produced amazing, healthy pups over the last few years. We couldn’t be more proud of her!
The puppies are all doing well – they are a good size and their C-section was timed perfectly by our veterinarian. We even captured a video of their arrival, showing the veterinary team stabilizing the pups and bringing them to our waiting room. You can imagine our surprise when we discovered there were 8!
All of these puppies already have families waiting for them, but with this litter being larger than expected, we will have availability in our next litter with Leah (Lexi’s sister), who is expected to go into season any day now. If you’re interested in being part of that litter, please let us know!
While there are no adoption opportunities for this litter, we are seeking a co-home family in the Bowmanville area for one lilac female. Please note that this family must be located within 15 minutes of Bowmanville to ensure minimal stress on the Frenchie and both families
during breeding coordination. If you meet these requirements and are interested in co-homing, please get in touch with us.
Over the next 48 hours, we’ll be monitoring the puppies closely to ensure they are gaining strength and weight. The litter appears to consist of 6 Lilacs and 2 Lilac Fawns, although it may be a couple of days before we can confirm their exact colors. This distribution is consistent with Lexi and Astro’s previous litters. In this litter, we have 5 males and 3 females, all of whom are nursing frequently. Lexi’s milk arrived in record time, and the pups seem to be thriving!
While we are thrilled with how well the puppies are doing, we will remain on high alert for the first few weeks to ensure their continued health and well-being. We’ll keep you updated with their progress and can’t wait to share more adorable moments with you!
Thank you for being part of the BluFrenchibles family, and for your ongoing support and love for our Frenchies.
